# Huachuma Retreat in the Sacred Valley

Ten days in Peru, with ceremony on the mountain and planting at the Huachuma Sanctuary.

We stay in a wonderful location in Pisac, within walking distance of the center of town. The Heart Path is two mountain ceremonies, and the Fire Path is two mountain ceremonies and an all-night fire ceremony.

## The Heart Path and the Fire Path

### Heart Path

The Heart Path has two full days of ceremony on the mountain, with the days between for the ancient sites, rest and getting used to the altitude. It is the one to choose if you have not traveled with us before, and people come back for it too.

For experienced seekers

### Fire Path

The Fire Path has three ceremonies, two on the mountain and one all night by the fire, and nearly all the rest of the time goes to integration, with little sightseeing. It is for people who have been on retreat with us before, or who have worked with Huachuma or Peyote and know these medicines and how they affect them.

On both retreats

## What the Two Share

Both retreats are ten days in Peru’s Sacred Valley with Huachuma, the cactus also called San Pedro. We learn by being there, in the ceremonies on the mountain, at the Sanctuary and around the table, and the preparation calls before the trip go through its history, the science, how it grows and how a ceremony works. Four integration sessions follow once everyone is home.

On either retreat we sit in ceremony on the mountain with Miguel Mendiburu, share a house in Pisac and plant at the Huachuma Sanctuary, and Hamid Jabbar and Dani Reardon are there on both.

What it costs

## The Price

Prices are per person, for the ten days.

| Private single with a private bathroom | $4,800 | $5,000 |
| Bungalow or premium suite | $5,200 | $5,400 |
| Two sharing a bungalow or suite, each | $4,800 | $5,000 |

**A $500 deposit holds your place** once your application is accepted, whichever room you choose. Half of what is left after the deposit is due two months before departure and the other half one month before. **Paying in full when you book takes $200 off.**

## Questions

**Which Retreat Is for Me?**

The Heart Path is open to everyone, and it is the one to choose if you have not traveled with us before. The Fire Path is for people who have been on retreat with us before, or who have worked with Huachuma or Peyote and know these medicines and how they affect them. If you are drawn to the Fire Path, say so in the application.

**What Are the Dates?**

The Heart Path runs July 1 to 11, 2027, and the Fire Path June 17 to 27, 2027. Each is ten nights in Pisac for a group of nine, and registration is open for both.

**Do I Need Experience with This Medicine?**

Not for the Heart Path, where the four preparation calls bring everyone to the same starting point, with time for every question. The Fire Path does ask for experience.

**What If the Season Is Full When I Apply?**

Apply anyway. We will tell you where things stand.

**Are Payment Plans Available?**

Yes. After the $500 deposit, the balance can be paid in monthly installments instead of the two payments above, with the last one due a month before departure. Ask about it on the call.
